Roughly translates to - “We’ll see each other again.”
Made in collaboration with Linya-Linya, (for transparency, I used to be the head of art there when this all happened.) The brief was pretty much just make a design about whatever you wanted to talk about, and well, for me, I wanted to make something of a shirt that spoke about the hope I had for the local music scene. Sort of a companion illustration to the Route 196 shirt which was about how things have their endings, with this I wanted it to be a shirt about hope, the hope that we’d see each other again.
Things opened up soon after and gigs were back and everyone is out and about again in the world. So this was badly timed in terms of release, but in my defense, none of us knew anything about whatever was going to happen.
You know you’ve kind of gotten somewhere when they bootleg your art for shirts.
